Application for World Handicap Card

Please pay attention to the following before beginning the handicap application process :
 

• To be eligible for a handicap, you must submit a minimum of  3 x 18 holes or 6 x 9 holes scoring records.
   

• The scorecards must be uploaded to the system along with the application. Ensure that all scorecards clearly indicate the Date, Gross total and Tee played. The scorecards must also display the Course Rating, Slope ratings and Par.  Without this information, the scores will not be acceptable for handicap purposes.   
   

• Once your application is submitted, it takes about 2-3 days to process. After that,  you will receive an email from GHINprofile@usga.org , inviting you to create a digital profile and that will give you access to the free GHIN app, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.  Once your profile is complete, you can log into the GHIN app using your GHIN number or email address and the PW you created.  
   

• An official electronic handicap card will be available through the mobile app, allowing you to input of scores after each round of play. 
   

• The physical handicap card will be mailed to you in the second week of the following month.
